Bay Arabian Mare

Zenzational is a nice bay mare with a lot of substance that is really fun to ride. She is very calm and sweet while you are handling her on the ground, but pretty spunky under saddle. She loves to work. She loads, clips, bathes, cross ties, and stands perfectly for tacking up or farrier work. She will stand calmly tied for long periods of time. Zenzational was originally bred to be a racehorse. She is sired by Monarch, winner of $213,346 on the racetrack and one of the leading sires of Arabian racehorses. Her dam is sired by *Gondolier, who was imported from Poland and the sire of racehorses, dressage horses and working western horses (reining and working cow horse). Zen is definitely athletic and loves to be ridden. Her current owner currently has her in training for a tune-up on all of the basics. After a very short career on the racetrack in 2003, Zen was retrained at the Rocky Mountain Training Center for trail riding in the Colorado Mountains. She received a lot of experience on the trails in rough, steep terrain while at the training center. Not only does she have good trail experience, but also we were impressed with the way Zen likes to work. We think she is an excellent candidate for team penning and working cow horse, because she is so agile and turns and stops well. She should also pass her athleticism on to her get. Her current owner raised one filly from her, who was foaled in 2004.
