Multi-Regional
Halter Champion, Ala Savio, is ready to take you or
your child to the show ring in Hunter Pleasure and Hunter
Over Fences and on to the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals.
He has several years of professional Hunter Pleasure
Training and has started jumping 12 cross rails.
He was Top 5 at the Regional Championships in Region
6 in Gelding In-Hand Amateur Owner Championship in 2000
and Top 5 at the Regional Championships in Region 11
in Arabian Stallion Championship in 1999. Savio is an
extremely pretty and personable 8 yr old gelding with
a natural Hunter horse stride. His movement and transitions
are very fluid. He has a very playful nature and is
really affectionate. The kids at our barn do all of
his clipping, braiding, bathing, and trailer loading.
At 14.3 he is also the perfect size for most junior
riders. His 11 yr old current owner completed a 25-mile
limited distance endurance ride on him in 2004. The
ride was held in the city of Ft. Worth. He had to cross
8 bridges over the Trinity River and ride through the
streets of the Ft. Worth Stockyards area, which he handled
very well. Ala Savio is sired by the 1986 and 1990 U.S.
Reserve National Champion Stallion, Alada Baskin, by
National Champion *Aladdinn, who is the leading living
sire of Arabian Champions, with over 275 champions and
67 national winners. Ala Savios dam is a granddaughter
of both *Bask and Khemosabi, the top 2 leading Arabian
sires of all time (both are now deceased). Watch the
video clip of one of his off-site training sessions
the day before a Combined Training Open Show. A 15 yr
old girl is riding him in the video.
