Miracle is a fun, spunky mare with a strong work ethic. She is currently owned by her breeder, who thinks Miracle would be much happier if she had a real job. Her owner has started showing her Morgan horses and doesn’t have as much time for Miracle as she would like. Miracle loves to work. You can see the happy expression on her face in her video as she heads down the trail or canters around the arena. Her ears are forward and her eyes are bright, alert and happy. She loves having something to do. She is a young horse, but has had excellent training and is very easy to handle. Her training has mostly been western. So, she is used to being ridden on a loose rein with light contact. Her owner started her under saddle and did a few initial rides on her. Then she sent her to a well-known trainer in Abilene, Texas who rode her on his working cattle ranch for 8 months across varied terrain. She has a lot of good experience working cattle on the ranch (herding not roping, etc.) and traveling across rugged country. She is fine in a group of horses on the trail, but prefers to lead. We were amazed at how well she watches her footing and was eager to go even though she was being ridden alone. You won’t find those traits very often in a horse her age. She also did not spook one time when we rode her alone on the trail for her video, but she is a 4-yr old Arab, so we can’t promise that she won’t spook occasionally. We think she is a great prospect for competitive trail, endurance, or even working cow horse. Miracle is looking for a lifetime human partner who will pay a lot of attention to her and with whom she can share great adventures.
Miracle comes by her athleticism naturally. Miracle’s sire was Region 9 Reserve Champion Sport Horse Stallion in Hand and Champion Sport Horse Under Saddle as a Junior horse. He also had Dressage training level scores in the 60s. He is affectionately known as Gunner and is owned by the well-known judge and trainer, Joanne Crockett. Her dam’s sire was a Multi-Champion in English Pleasure & Show Hack and a Reserve Champion in Native Costume. Her grandmother on the bottom side of her pedigree is a quarter horse, which partly explains her good mind and stocky appearance.
