Calico Kid has beautiful markings, very nice conformation, a pretty Arabian head and a calm, willing disposition. He looks very similar to his dam and would probably do as well as her in the show ring in Western Pleasure. He has had 8 months professional training from April 1, 2007 until December 1, 2007, by one of the top Arabian Western horse trainers in the U.S., Travis Braden. He is easy to ride and handle. He loads and unloads easily, even in a 2-horse straight load trailer with a ramp and hauls well. Calico was born and raised at a small Arabian show barn with less than 10 horses where he always received a lot of attention. He will come to you in the pasture. He cross ties, bathes, clips and stands calmly for tacking up or the farrier. Calico has had all of his basic training and is ready for you to take to the next step. He would also make a very pretty partner for trail riding, competitive trail or endurance. Hank rode him on his first ride on the trail and he didn’t hesitate to do anything he asked, even though he was being ridden without the company of other horses. He is a confident horse with a willing attitude. He is also a large horse, suitable for a taller rider.
