7 Years of Consistent Once or Twice a Week Trail Riding
Crosses creeks, bridges, goes through concrete tunnels
Forward Smooth Arabian Gaits with calmness from experience
Unafraid of Barking Dogs, Traffic, Bicycles, etc.
Excellent for Competitive Trail
Beythoven is a very well trained trail horse. The best trail horses can only be trained though lots of miles, which he has had. His current owner rode him once or twice a week on the trail for the past 7 yrs, but her doctor has recommended that she not ride in the future. So, she is sadly parting with her friend to a good home only, where he can enjoy a similar life with someone that appreciates him as much as she does. Bey has a nice calm walk, smooth trot and smooth slow canter, with the Arabian get up and go attitude for heading down the trail. He will calmly cross creeks, wooden bridges, and pass through the narrow concrete tunnel underpass on the Ray Roberts equestrian trail. Barking dogs, traffic, bicyclists and other trail monsters are old hat to him. He is responsive and easy to ride, which would make him the perfect competitive trail horse. He knows all of his voice commands for walk, trot and canter. He is ridden on a loose rein on the trail, but he will also move very rounded and on the bit, and will stretch to the bit when allowed. He was previously trained as a Hunter Pleasure horse for the show ring by High Point Farms. So, he would be a good horse to take english riding lessons on and should be able to do well as a hunter pleasure show horse. But, his owner wants to make sure he goes to someone that trail riding is their first love, because that is Bey's favorite riding passtime too.
