Angel is a very well trained mare that is easy to handle and manage. Her current owners purchased her as a yearling, so she has been handled and trained by professionals all her life. At home you can put beginner riders on her, but she is a competitive mare that likes to work and go (like most horses gets excited at the start), so she requires an intermediate rider at a competition. She has an exceptionally smooth trot and is really a joy to ride. She has 100% completions in 5 LD (25-mile) AERC rides from April of 2009 through April of 2011. She was ridden in a conservative 4 to 5 hour ride time so that she would remain calm and continue to do well in Competitive Trail. She has also competed in 7 Novice and 2 Open NATRC competitive trail rides in Oklahoma and Texas. Angel won sweepstakes in the Novice division at the Six-O ranch in 2008 with her trainer and again in 2010 at Robbers Cave in Oklahoma with her owner. She is a very sweet, pretty mare that will come to you in the pasture. She has perfect ground manners, hauls well and enjoys going out on the trail. Angel also has good legs and feet and great confirmation. She is a stocky girl with a lot of substance and she loves to eat. You will have no finicky eater worries taking her on a camping trip or to a competition. She is a very big eater and drinker, will drink from ponds and grazes every chance she gets. She should also produce really nice foals with good substance and a good mind. Angel is ¾ Russian and ¼ Polish. Sired by Regional Show Jumping Champion, TLA Halynov, she is a granddaughter of *Halycon imported from Holland who was sired by Patron. On the Polish side she has the most famous and well regarded US Sires of all time - *Bask and Khemosabi++++//. If you are looking for a ready-made well-trained horse for trail competitions, she is perfect. This mare needs a real partner that will continue to use her in competitions and take advantage of all her great training.
