Alfala is a very tall gelding with a very typey Egyptian head. He is a large boned horse with correct confirmation. He is a grandson of Ruminaja Ali and a great grandson of the famous horses, Shaikh Al Badi and TheeEyptianPrince. Both his sire and dam have been exported from the U.S. We understand that his sire was exported to France. He was originally trained at Roger Daily’s facility, which is a Quarter Horse show barn, but while there he was mainly ridden by a dressage trainer. His current owner’s daughter has been his main rider since that time. She is now 18 and has entered college, so Alfala is being offered for sale. Although he was ridden by a “junior rider”, she is an experienced, confident rider who has taken many riding lessons. She mainly rode him on the Equestrian trails at Lake Lavon. She loves his willingness to please and his forward movement. He really enjoys riding on the trails. He is anxious to please his rider or handler and is really looking for someone with whom he can bond. Alfala has been in the pasture with an older mare and gelding as well as some miniature mares and a stallion. Both the minis and the older horses are dominant over him in the pasture. Alfala is best suited for a confident intermediate or advanced intermediate rider. He will do whatever his rider asks, if he senses that they are a confident leader.
We think that in the right hands, Alfala has the potential to be a top caliber endurance horse. He has the size, the stride and the large bones we look for as well as the deep heart girth usually found on a horse with a large heart and lung capacity. He also has correct legs and hooves.
