Brandy Alexander is a stunning, athletic buckskin. The Half Arab, Half Morgan cross is well known for being intelligent and athletic and Alex is an outstanding example of this great cross.
Alex had 6 months of professional training by Travis Braden in 2006-2007, one of the top Arabian show ring trainers in Region IX who qualifies his top horses every year for the Arabian National Championships. He is currently in training with us and absolutely loves trail riding. While at our farm he is also being trained dressage basics and trail obstacles. Collection is easy for him. Alex loads and hauls easily, even in a 2-horse straight load trailer and has good solid ground manners.
He was sold by his breeder in 2007 and has been owned by the same family since that time. He started out as the Dad's riding horse, but when his daughter turned 13 she took over her Dad's horse. She rode him for 6 years, but is now away at college.
He does not spook or have any vices and is suitable for an assertive, intermediate or amateur rider. He has a big, fast walk, soft, slow canter and an easy jog trot that is very easy to sit. He has been ridden through the neighborhood on the roads, so he is used to traffic, dogs, etc. He is a personable horse with a soft eye. He has very good balanced confirmation and really good legs and hooves, which makes him suitable for a variety of disciplines. He would be good at English or Western Dressage, Sport Horse, Working Cow Horse, Team Penning, or Competitive Trail.
